I’m a San Francisco-based Associate Experience Researcher with the research and design firm, EchoUser. I help businesses understand users’ motivations, behaviors, and needs to build or improve their products and services. I thrive in environments where I can solve complex problems and collaborate with stakeholders who have different priorities.
I have over 10 years of experience conducting social science research for government and nonprofits, and more recently, UX research with start-ups and medium-sized companies. In fall 2020, I interviewed potential customers of a new green coffee bean company and helped the founder evolve his business strategy to focus on one primary target audience. Previously, I led a service design project for the San Mateo County Health System to connect institutional food buyers to farmers. My work led one farmer to sell his produce to 19,000 students and a feasibility study that assessed how to aggregate, market, and distribute local produce. I have presented my service design work at conferences such as the California American Public Health Association North, and the American Public Health Association.
I hold a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology from Emory University.
I’m a returned Peace Corps volunteer from Uganda. I love spending time with my partner and two kids and enjoy hiking, bike camping, and practicing yoga. I also love to think about and talk about ways to get into better shape.
